The system looks for an opponent based on a similar ELO, it is possible that when a player is searched for similar to another and open to games, it is normal that when faced with similar ELOS the system pairs players repeatedly, it is not possible to change that, it would have to be reprogrammed.
To play with pagemates who have a higher ELO there are specific tournaments.
